Intent upon escaping the winter, we ventured forth to the Okinawa at the end of 2017!We spent most of our time on the undersold main island of Naha, and we stayed on the eastern coast near Nanjo.
Okinawa, as it turns out, is home to a large number of very long roller slides, a distinct pottery style and lots of delicious food! As you can see from the pictures, we didn’t escape to a blazing summer but it was nice to shed 50% of the layers!
Naha is also home to a surprisingly large amount of delicious coffee. And here are some adorable pictures of my main mini man pretending he has locks.
For the last two nights of our trip we caught a local ferry to Zamami Island. Despite the island being almost completely closed up for the winter, it was just the thing to finish our trip to Japan’s southern extremes!
